After success of the mid day meal schemes and Sarva Shiksha Abhiyaan of the Central Government , the MP government , has announced another scheme of rewarding meritorious students for bringing excellence in their performance. The scheme has been named with MP Board Laptop Yojana 2022 where the government of MP shall be distributing free laptops to outperforming students in their respective courses .
The MP Government with announcement for the scheme has also announced for the list of eligible students , institutions to participate in the scheme to receive distributive laptops from the government to their brilliant students . The laptops under this scheme shall be offered according to the percentage of marks scored by students in their institutions and have to apply for the scheme once they get good marks in their exams .
The scheme is being considered as rewarding for the students of MP Schools and Colleges , but due to lack of awareness their might be cases that brilliant or hardworking students might not be able to take benefit of this scheme . What is MP Board Free Laptop Yojana in Madhya Pradesh ?
As per the MP Board Free Laptop Scheme , the Government of MP announced for rewarding students of higher secondary classes with a Free laptop scheme , where they will be provided with a free branded laptop from the government , along with a scholarship for exceptional cases . The students to apply for the scheme are required to obtain atleast 85 percent marks in their MP Board examinations . Earlier the criteria was upto 75 percent in 2019 , but due to lack of facilities and coordination the scheme was postponed in 2019.
In 2020, the scheme was rescheduled for distribution but due to COVID it was again postponed . After bringing improvements in the policies related to distribution and scholarships of the students the scheme was reintroduced for distribution of laptops through the MP Board Free Laptop Yojana in 2022 . The MP Government , has also released a list of institutions where this scheme shall be excersized.
The scheme also introduced a monetary contribution instead of Laptop distribution direct to students in their bank account through the government , for which the government asked for bank details of the students who scored above 85 percent in 2021-22 MP Board Examinations .
Who can apply for MP Board Free Laptop Yojana ?
As per the scheme documentation , the scheme provides the Laptop fund benefit to students from all caste , creed and religion . The scheme includes all students scoring more than 85 percent in their 12th examination from MP board which they can belong to either SC , ST , OBC , or General Caste. The students on scheme application shall be provided fund of Rs 25000 for buying a new laptop .
The scheme provides for the following candidates to apply for the scheme :
- The students should be a resident of MP and should be studying in MP board.
- The scores obtained should be more than 85 percent .
- The income of the family should be less than 6 lakh per annum .
- The student shall be a meritorious student .
Also , their is no specific application to be made by the applicant for obtaining the scholarship as a student has to apply for the scheme through the institution only in which he/she is studying .
How to apply for MP Board Free Laptop Yojana ?
In MP , 12th class results were announced on 29th April , 2022 . The list of students who scored above 85 percent in 12th were notified by the institutions to the government for application under the scheme . The students can check the list issued by the Education department of MP for issue of grant for laptop by the department .
To know the status of application or to apply in a special format to the MP Education Board for Laptop grant , you can apply in the following way :

- Click on LAPTOP Distribution Scheme Option
- Enter your 12th Roll Number
- Click on Submit .
On the next page , you will be able to check the eligibility for the scheme and your application under the scheme . Also , laptops or funds for buying the laptop will be provided only through the institutions approved by the Government of MP . In 2020, the students for the MP Board Free Laptop Scheme where opted from the list of entire student database in Madhya Pradesh where later the criteria was changed . The MP Board and the Education Ministry of MP provided a list for the eligible institutions and criteria for application in the scheme . The scheme requires filing of some documents by the students who scored above 85 percent in their 12th board examinations in MP .

How to check name in the MP Board Free Laptop Yojana List ?
To make the process easier for the students to check for their names in the selected students list for the MP Board Free Laptop Scheme ,the MP Government provides the list of all meritorious students eligible for receiving this grant from MP Government. Students can download this list from the official website of the Education department of MP or can obtain it from their respective institution website .
The list will also be issued to each and every registered institution in the scheme, through the common portal . Where selected candidates can claim for their grant from their respective institution .
This offer can be availed only by MPBSE Students and the MP Board Free Laptop scheme will offer scholarship amount of Rs 25000 for buying a new laptop to students who score above 85 percent under this scheme .
